Fibromyalgia is a widespread musculoskeletal pain and fatigue disorder for which the cause is unknown. My many years of practice experience have indicated to me that Candida, Mycoplasma, Epstein-Barr, heavy metal toxicity and leaky gut syndrome all contribute to the discomforts of this disorder. Fibromyalgia means pain in the fibrous tissues of the body. The pain comes from the connective tissues, such as muscles and tendons and ligaments. Fibromyalgia does not involve the joints as does rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Most patients with fibromyalgia say they ache all over. The muscles may feel like they have been pulled or overworked. Sometimes the muscles twitch and at times they burn. More women than men are afflicted with fibromyalgia, but it occurs in people of all ages. Chronic fatigue syndrome has almost identical symptoms to fibromyalgia, overwhelming tiredness, insomnia, depression and lack of concentration. Fibromyalgia patients suffer with more muscle and connective tissue problems.
My patients discover that they are almost always referred to psychiatrists and placed on antidepressants, pain medications, and sleeping pills.
Look for the cause! Check for Epstein-Barr virus, Mycoplasma and other pathological viruses and bacteria. Look for heavy metal poisoning.
